I am going to go out on a limb and predict that Norton and St Francis will be strong again.

I would venture to say Silver Lake will do very well as a team next year. There was an article in the CJ the week after this years state meet and it basically says they will win it all. Look for great individual performances from Collin Hase, Keaton Taylor, and Jason Corwin.

Norton- Bainter, Brockelman, Mann, VanEaton, and Bolt and few fo other will do well also that were on JV.

P-Burg- Ceman, Bloom, Zahorsky, Swatzell, Hadley, Hadley

I predict there are alot of underclassmen who are relieved and happy to see the class of 2006 finally graduate! To those Seniors I must say congratualtions and thanks for 4 years of great wrestling and good luck to all in the future. To the underclassmen and future senior class.....keep working hard and good luck! Be sure to set an example for those coming up behind you to follow!

I heard Ceman is moving this summer. My Money is on the BlueJays again, but next year is next year and that's why we wrestle the matches. Also Michael, Smith Center will be tough. Could be Mid continent league 1 2 3 at 321A

That would really be a downer to P-Burg. Do you have any idea where hes moving? Thats true i forgot about Smith Center they should be tough. MCL has been, bar none, the most dominate leage this year in 3-2-1a sports.

How so, i would be willing to debate that. In wrestling yes, all around i would say that the MEL is the most dominant league in 321A sports.

The MEL is a very tuff leauge at 3a and always has a team in the state championship game in every sport. But this year was pretty special for the MCL they won 2a state football, 2a state Basketball, 321a state wrestling, they won 2a state powerlifting if you want to count that too, I would agree that the MEL is a very good leauge but this year i would have to say that the MCL did really dominate so far.

I'll stick up for the MEL if AP wont. Here is the low down on the MEL. This year in football every team made the state playoffs, all teams with the exception of Wabunsee won at least one game. St. Marys in 2A made SubState, as well as Silver Lake and Rossville who matched up in the 3A substate for the fourth year in a row. Rossville Girls volleyball got third place at state, as they did last year. Silver Lake won state volleyball the two previous years. Girls state cross country was won by Riley County. Boys basketball Rossville took 3rd at state, Riley County got 2nd. The Rossville girls also took third, the year before the Riley girls won it. Each MEL school had at least one state placer in wrestling, i know you western ks people laugh at that but it is a big deal here in eastern ks. That brings us to spring sports and since we dont know yet I will use last years info. Silver Lake won state softball, as they did the year before. Silver Lake won state baseball. Multiple individual track state champs, see the KSHSAA website if you want. St. Marys won 2A state golf last year.

Before others jump on this, Wabaunsee did not make the playoffs this year. However, the MEL is most definitely one of the top 3-2A leagues in the State.
