I just heard yesterday that little Kansas Newman is doing its part to help out with the Katrina Disaster. Each member of the wrestling team, will be giving a pint of blood to help with the medical needs in the Gulf area. Yep, a little blood from Kansas wrestlers can go a long way. They are doing their part, this and more, would be interesting to hear what others are doing. Way to go Coach Stovall and all of those involved.

Our church (Westlink Christian in Wichita) donated $50,000 from the general fund and challenged the congregation to match it. The congregation WILL do it and them some. Its just a drop in the bucket for what the victims need but every little bit helps.

Giving blood wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I thought I'd feel a lot worse than I did thought. I plan on doing it again. And they fed us afterwards, what more can I ask for. lol.

I can't donate anymore to my knowledge to help others, but the doctor sure draws blood from me like crazy these days at my checkups.

Hey guys you can donate once every 8 weeks. Remember blood centers are always needing donors. Blood is needed not just for katrina victims. The list is endless how the blood donated is used. I have given over 50 times over the years, trust me the only thing that went wrong in all those times is that I have a little bruise on my arm where the needle went in.

Richard, I checked out the site and it sounds like the old blood plasma donation. I was unaware that the Red Cross did this. Help someone out and get to watch a free movie to boot.

Our School principle set a challenge for us and the rest of the schools in our league...It is called the Intra-League Rivalry.....were competing to see which school can donate the most amount of money and supplies for the Hurricane Katrina Victims..i think everyone has accepted the challenge except for TMP

But seriously, the League and sometimes school rivalries brings out the best in kids. Last year Abilene-Chapman raised close to $2,000 for me in one week for my medical fund. I know the FFA's state wide are doing something too.
