Do they have their roster set yet. We saw Levi saturday, so I know he's going to be at 133. I was just wondering what the rest of the team looked like this year.

I was asked to not tell anyone about our starting line-up. I can say that the first dual against Labette probably won't be the same team you'll see all year long.

The intersquad matches were at 125-133-141-157-(165 after injury)-174-(285 after injury). There were matches at the following weights. I again was asked to not disclose any information about them.

Here is a our roster
125-
FR Danny Toledo Naples Florida
SO Brady Huck Dodge City
FR Pablo Valenzula Thornton Colorado
133-
FR Levi Younkin Oakley Kansas
FR Alex Ryan Russell Kansas
141-
SO Daniel Prater Pratt Kansas
FR Cale Farber Hoxie Kansas
149-
SO Matt Gilliand Hoxie Kansas
FR Luybomir Something Bulgaria
157-
SO Matt Shippers Hoxie Kansas
FR Johann Something Uzbekistan
165-
SO Jason Shippers Hoxie Kansas
FR Avery Rhodes La Comeaux Lousiana
174-
SO Jeff Klinglesmith Perry Oklahoma
FR Robby Wilger LaMar Colorado
FR Naoto Saguki Japan
184-
SO Bobby Dennis Oakley Kansas
197-
SO James Mason Winston Salem North Carolina
285-
FR Wyatt Green Scott City Kansas
FR Cody Riviera Thornton Colorado
FR Luis "Bear" Bailo-n Rocky Ford Colorado

This is the roster that should be posted on the colby wrestling page on the CCC website.

Alex

What do you know about the foreign kids on the roster? We can easily look up the guys from other states, but it's the international guys I'm intrigued about since Colby has produced some great talent from other countries.

The one at 157 is the best of them. He has wrestled Kendall Cross twice and lost 3-2 to him both times. He beat Jamill Kelly this summer when he was in New York.

Last year, all the Colby fans were talking crap on LCC for their out of state recruiting. That's funny because over half of Colby's team this year is from out of state, including 3 from foreign countries.

I don't know for a fact but I am pretty sure that most of the out of staters, not all, but most I think are walk-ons.

All? Perhaps some, but not all. I know of one that did (perhaps there were others), but most know it goes in cycles.

Some years you can fill a quality line-up with locals (like Colby did last year - 4th in the Country with 8 Kansas kids in the starting line-up - Patton, Prater, Gilliland, Schippers, Schippers, Luedke, Luedke, Dennis) and some years the Kansas kids are either not available/not interested.....so you have to recruit elsewhere.
