We will begin opening the Topeka High wrestling room up for Freestyle/Greco practice on Tuesday, April 18th. Do to restrictions and limited mat space, we will only be able to offer coaching and mat time to kids age 14 and under. For those who have been participating in the summer wrestling, that means schoolboys and down. We will not be able to have highschool wrestlers practice with us till May 23. I understand that this creates a bit of a training problem for some, but this is all I can offer at this point.
These practices will focus on the fundamentals of freestyle and greco. It will be geared toward the younger kids.
In order to participate, you need to be at Topeka High's wrestling room(west doors of the school, on Western Street) by 6:00 p.m. Tuesdays. At this time it will only be once a week and last for around 2 hours. We will have a $25.00 fee to come practice and everyone must have a USA wrestling card in order to get on the mat. We will have forms to order cards at practice.
Again, I will be posting when we will be able to open the room for all those interested in working out this summer.
