Best Mexican food in Wichita (from this gringo's view) is Connie's on N. Broadway. The all meat burrito is dy-no-mite! The tacos there are pretty swell also. Bring me some of your grandma's tacos and I'll judge them.

Man I didn't know you travel to the north side. I used to like to go to connie's to flirt with all sisters that worked there.
Maybe when I am not busy I will cook some for you. Ask Jilka about my families food.

I used to go to Connie's so often that when I sat down they would just ask me I wanted "the usual".

For fast food mexican, Taco Bueno is the best. I grew up on 2 beef burritoes with sour cream and a mexi dip and chips. (In between weigh-ins). Living in Overland Park, the closest Bueno is in Topeka, 52 miles from my front door. It's nice to have them in Wichita now for my trips to Oklahoma.

I not a fan of La Mesa on Ridge and 21st. They have the corn tacos with the white cheese. Billy McJennings should give us his ratings

Another place to try in Wichita is Taco J's on 47th St. South and Seneca. The ambiance is beyond compare.

Couldn't help it but Burrito Express on corner of Pawnee and Meridian is as good as anything you will get in Wichita, at least that I have had.

I like the white cheese on the tacos at El Cazador in Manhattan. The food can be somewhat questionable at times, but the joint is still locally famous.

If you ever road trip with me to Edmond, Oklahoma to watch UCO wrestle, you have to go to Poblano Grill. Hot spicey veggies, tortillas queso all pretty much for free with a meal.
