Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Rocky Mountain Monster Match

The Leavenworth County Spartan Wrestling Team will be taking a group of 5-7 kids to the Rocky Mountain Monster Match in Denver on 4-5 Nov 06.

If anyone else from Kansas is attending and needs help coaching please let me know. Myself, Jeff Butler, and Mike Flynn will be the coaches going for the Spartans. We are more than willing to help out anyone in need of a coach.

If you have any kids going to Monster Match who have allergies or other breathing problems make sure they take their inhalers. We had a couple of kids last year that had a lot of problems.

The location of the tournament has a dirt floor that they cover with carpet and there is a lot of dust in the air. I think that, in combination with not being used to the altitude probably caused most of our problems.

I am sure the fact that our kids were not in very good wrestling condition yet did not help.

This sounds worse then the barn in Wichita?

We are taking two from St. Thomas Aquinas, Jed Mamie and Phillip Henes. Any other Kansas wrestlers going in addition to Leavenworth County? Today is the last day to register.
