Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle Novice Tournament of Champions

Just a reminder that we are having a tournament for novice wrestlers on January 7, at Chaparral High School, approx 45 min SW of Wichita. All brackets will be 8 man or round robins. Top 4 placers will recieve trophies and 1st place will take home his bracket. The bottom 4 will be placed in a will be placed in a hardship bracket and wrestle off in a round robin or double elimination (depending how many are in the bracket) for 1st thourgh 4th place medals and 1st place wrestler will take home a bracket, giving all competitors awards. One part of the information that I had left off is that we use experience and certified referees. Two of these referees do national tournaments and the others I see at sub-district and district and state tournaments. We feel that the experienced referees can explain infractions to the young wrestlers where they understand what is they did.
