well by now we know who won the state and i want to tip my hat to the winner Fulbright. hes a great wrestler and if you would have seen the simi finals against carlson you might have seen the best match at the state this year it went to overtime and he won it in the last 3 seconds then. it was for all intent the state champinship match. its a shame that there were four kids in the top of the bracket that would have won the bottom half, but thats the way it went this year, also its time to put a match of this type on a full size matt, kids that have this much tallent need a full size matt. the boy whittit would have won the bottom side of the bracket and the kid from manhattan would have to. well i gest i have said enought but thanks to the kids tthey put it all out there and the tape of carlson and fulbright is a tape that will be looked at a lot and hope theres a meeting again of the two and i bet you it will be a barn bunner just like the last one.

I would have to agree with one thing that grandad mentioned in his post. It is time that these young men get a full mat to wrestle on. I saw several instances that a full mat might have changed the outcome of the match. The comments on the 4 kids in the top half of the bracket being able to win the bottom side, I would have to disagree with. Whittit was on the bottom side and lost 10-3 to Crank in the quarter final match. Treinin from Manhattan lost to Crank at Districts 9-1. Both are good wrestlers, but the logic in the statements about the 4 kids did not take this information into consideration. All of the young men who placed should be congratulated for a job well done. This was a tough and evenly matched bracket this year, 3 boys from each side placed.

Will someone please explain to me how four kids can win the same bottom side of the bracket? Last I checked there was only one winner per match. While I am sure all the kids on the top side are talented, I am equally sure the kids on the bottom side were equally as talented. It is obvious they are because making it to State is a big accomplishment and nothing should be taken away from them. I understand the bias on your part but to belittle the other wrestlers is not right. I believe a previous comment of yours was "anybody can be beaten on any given day." That my friend is about the only thing I have agreed with you yet. What is ironic, is the kid you said wouldn't be in the top six beat Carlson for third and fourth. Let the kids to the talking on the mat instead of Grandpa bragging on the forum.

Well Stated "HawksFan" and "A Chick". Good Kids from top to bottom and they all wrestled great and proved that many of the predictions were just that, Predictions!
