Eligibility
Must be in grades 4-12 during the 2006-07 school year. Each club / state team is encouraged to represent 3 divisions
Every team guaranteed at least 8 dual meets!
Limited to the first 59 paid teams!
Divisions and Weight Classes
High School, grades 9-12
103, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 275 - 4 lb. allowance
Junior High, grades 7-9
85, 93, 103, 112, 119, 125, 132, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 230 - 3 lb. allowance -
Elementary, grades 4-6
60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 103, 112, 119, 125, 132, 145 - 2 lb. allowance
Format
Every team is guaranteed at least 8 dual matches!
Pool matches will feed into a Championship tournament format with complete consolation rounds
Matches
High School Division - 1-2-2, Junior High Division - 1-11/2, 11/2, Elementary Division - 1-1-1
Team Awards
The Championship Team and 2nd-4th place finishing teams will receive a beautiful award statue and the starters from each team will receive medals.
The 5th-8th place finishing teams will receive awards recognizing their performance as well.
Cost
$749 per team. Each team may have a maximum of 18 wrestlers. (This is an average of $41 per wrestler.)
Discounted fee of $699 for all teams who stay at the Headquarters Hotel or one of the Host Hotels. Email your confirmation numbers to Melissa@nhsca.com to take advantage of the discount.
Coaches must register their team on-line at NHSCA.COM
Coaches must be current members of the National HS Coaches Association.
Schedule of Events
Friday, July 6, 2007 – Headquarters Hotel, downtown Sacramento
6PM - 10PM Registration and weigh in, Headquarters Hotel: THE DOORS WILL NOT OPEN BEFORE 6PM to enter the registration or weigh-in area. If a wrestler misses weight, he will have until 10pm to attempt to make it.
6PM – 10PM Coaches and Official’s social
6PM-10PM Scales available
Saturday, July 7 – Sacramento Convention Center
9AM – Day 1, pool matches in all divisions on 16 mats
8PM - 10PM Coaches and officials social
