Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Women Girls tournaments (State) 2/25 and 3/18

McPherson will be hosting the USGWA KS State tournament February 25th at the Central Christian College in McPherson. The College is located at 1300 S. Main. You can download an entry form off of the USGWA web site. http://www.usgwa.com We are also hoping to host the USAW tournament at the same location March 18th. Ms. Jenni will be sending out the information on that tournament.

Will the usaw be a freestyle event or folkstyle??, like usgwa? Do you have to attend these events to qualify for Fargo??

They are both folkstyle and are not a qualifier for Fargo.

cool i will be at both of them, any other jr.high girls under 90lb going to these?

Lawrence Coyotes will be sending 8-12 girls.

Wrestle Tough!!!

Girls--We have some great news. There are some girls in SE KS that are very excited about girls wrestling. So excited that they arranged for a girls practice location in Parsons at the college there, in the Labette Comm College wrestling room. We will have this practice on Sunday, Feb 11, 2007 at noon. We usually go for 2-3 hours. All you need to come is a USAW card and a body ready to wrestle.

Coach Ed and I will be coming down and we will bring some girls from Wichita and maybe some other coaches. We are also inviting the girls from Lawrence and also the Leavenworth Girls. It should be a closer location for them than Wichita.

I will bring all the Krusader Gear so if you need anything or just want some new wrestling clothes, this is the place to be.

We will be having the two girls tourneys in McPherson, already mentioned here and can't wait for the girls wrestling season to get underway.

Anthony Gonzalez is revamping our website so stay tuned. Also, please send him any and all wrestling results and info. Also, if any of you girls would like to write a story about yourself or girls wrestling. Please go ahead we want to hear FROM YOU! Our website gets a lot of hits so it is your way to have your opinions and accolades known.

Will there be a sponcer hotel in Mcpherson.

I don't know of a sponser hotel...Lance would you suggest a place in McPherson for the ladies?

The McPherson Convention & Visitors Bureau just contacted me about Wrestlers Tournament Rates at the local motels. You need to state that you are calling for the Wrestlers Tournament Room Rates to get them. All the motels are offering something. The new Holiday Inn Express won't open until April 1st.
