We are excited to announce the reschedule date for the Burlington Mat Cat Wrestle-Off. We will be hosting on Saturday, March 3rd using the High School gym and the new High School wrestling addition.
We will be using 8-man brackets and ability grouping within the brackets to put better wrestlers together in a bracket and less experienced wrestlers together in a bracket. We will use some Round Robins but primarily 8-man brackets. We will be awarding extreme medals to the Top 4 wrestlers in each bracket. We will be doing our Club Championship Competition and a Fastest Pin Plaque in Each Age Division. We will also be awarding a Sportsmanship Award to the club that best demonstrates the meaning of sportsmanship on and off the mat!
Finally, we will be limiting our initial entries to the FIRST 500 paid entries. The clubs that are entered will then be allowed to enter High School Wrestlers immediately after High School Regionals.
We will be mailing a new entry form out this week and posting it on the Kansas Wrestling web site also.
There are not many tournaments this weekend so we anticipate filling very quickly. We look forward to hosting a competitive event on Saturday, March 3rd with many great young wrestlers and lots of great sportsmanship!
