What are you thoughts on wrestling for a middle school vs wrestling for a club team?

Thrash, B. The thread thaty was suggested did elaborate on that topic. In my opinion, it was originated in a
retalitory fashion aimed at one clubs woes as to not allow a wrestler whom had quit his middle/high school club and wanted to participate with a youth club for the remainder of the season.
Normally in this area-region, Dist. II, middle schoolers would be able to jump straight in to Sub's then dist's, and so on.
But I feel that they should experience middle school wrestling as a team concept and learning tool. If they choose to proceed to hi school wrestling thay will have a better understanding of
the scoring, team points. But if they elect to do kids club,
WHILE THEIR RESPECTIVE CLUB IS STILL WRESTLING then it should be a matter of personal choice and selection. As there are no boundaries or limit of clubs that any one individual can switch to.

cold as ice that thread i created was for my own personal info. For my club which is a little league club the board had differ views on that particular situation and wanted other point of views and ideas from other than the 10 board members in our club. And the particular kid involved not only quit his hs team but thought my practices were to tough and quit the little league program as well.

What does the elite wrestlers do in Kansas? I know Scott Elliott wrestled middle school. I don't think you can count Caldwell or Beard. What did some of the other great ones do?

Follow Scott's lead. It seems to have worked out pretty well for him.
