Thats a great call at 45. Bogner???? He was stomped by Brown in the dual last week. Even after the avoidance move moving up to 52. I know all the faithful will say he wanted a better match with Koehn.

8-5 thats what i would call a real stomping. He got caught in a headlock in the first period. Anyways, I think 145 is really pretty even this year across the state. Anyone has a shot to win on a good day. It was just my opinion no need to get mad about it. Also I guess you didnt notice that the entire Labette County line-up bumped for that duel.

Charger-1
Since your such a genius about the avoidance then you obviously know that coach Riek was told almost a week in advance that all the Labette guys would be moving up for the dual. The coaches talked because there were match ups that needed to happen and that was one of them. Their was no avoidance. Both wrestlers knew for almost a week they would be wrestling each other at 152 not a 145. Good attempt at expressing your knowledge though.
As for the finals Ornelas is not slouch so we will have to see there. Dwyer will have to get through Peters who has won 5 of their last 6 match ups Hambleton from Augusta will probably the the #1 seed so Whittley and Jessep up will meet at least by the semis 125 looks good 130...no idea 135....Napier and somebody else 140... Koehn and I would go with Finley over Watson, but but both are tough 145... have to give the edge to Brown.. He won the last match, but wouldn't say either of them (Brown or Bogner are a shoe in). You still have Lee and DO NOT underestimated the kid from Auguta.... he is solid. 152...Hambleton could end up on the same sid as Koehn. If that happens a trip to the finals is unlikely.. He is a tough Freshman but right now Tyler is in a league of his own. Especially in class 4 160 Agree 171-285.... will post at later date..... This regional will have some serious Battles.

Will you be working out with all the finalist this weekend or just your 30lber? I know enough that I dont have to work out with guys at tournamnets.

And by the way, how did you get "caught" in a headlock by Brown. Did he not KNOW it was coming??

Why do you have to bash other coaches, wrestlers and teams?

Charger 1,
I appologize for whatever has you so bitter. As for the headlock.....yeah we knew it was coming, but just couldn't stop it. It was a beautiful headlock. I never said he got "caught" with a headlock, that was another post. He was lucky to get out of the period without getting pinned. That's just a fact.
As for knowing enough, that's great. Seriously it is. Wrestling needs big supporters and obviously you are around it a lot. That's a good thing. However, don't pass off as if you know what what and why things like, bumping are happening. Teams do it all them tiime and it is for various reasons. Not just to avoid other wrestlers.
As for working out at tournaments. It won't be the last time. I warm up with our guys quite often, and who it is doesn't really matter.
So I hope you continue to be an supporter for the sport, but at least try to do it without tearing other kids, or people down who share the same desire for the sport as you do.
Best of luck to you and the team you support, whoever it is.

Oli, dont let this guy get under your skin. You are doing what you think needs to be done for your guys and that is the only thing that matters. Keep up the hard work and good luck to you and your guys, except against that 45 from Pittsburg, of course.

Oli, "It was a beautiful headlock"?? Our coach used to call it a cheeselock, because it was such a cheesy move. And if any of us used it....well let's just say the whole team would be rewarded with some extra running.

I happen to know of a recent 4 time state champ now D1 wrestler whose go to move is a "cheeselock"also a NJCAA AA who uses it quite often.Seems the NJCAA AA copied this "cheesy move"after being tossed many times while knowing it was comming. When this 4 timer was in highschool most called it unstoppable not cheesy.

Yes, it is effective. I should have clarified my statement. I think he didn't want us using it, because we would rely on it too much.
