I am curious as to why all of the ,Ks. High School Wrestling Finals, aren't held togather. This would enable College recruiters to set up and see all of the kids. This current system is not benifical to all of the kids. Exposure = scholarships. In the short time, that I have been watching
High School Wrestling, many kids may have lost a chance. It is time to reexamine our system.

They aren't held together because we don't have a big enough venue that everyone could supposedly hold everyone and keep everyone happy. 3a is Hays for good I suspect as a strong following has been made out there. 4a being on their own last year was great honestly as a 4a person, but as a fan it stunk a bit.

With the state tournaments in 3 different locations, what kind of attendance do each get? MO has their 4 class tournament held at 1 site, the Mizzou Arena in Columbia. That arena seats around 13,500, and accomodates the crowds pretty well. They usually get around 25,000-30,000 thru the turnstiles for the tournament. Has Bramlage ever been considered as a site to hold a real "state" tournament? I know it seats over 13,000.......

I went to nebraska's high school state and Kansas is lacking. I understand the size situlation, but I know a lot of college coaches that will not go to Kansas state cause its split up in so many ways. For some reason I was more pumped to watch the finals here in nebraska then to actually be in them in Kansas. Plus its aired live through out Nebraska! Although wrestling wise, Kansas is still way more advanced!

4a got a pretty good sized crowd this year that is for sure. Looked like 5 and 6a were bare to the bone though on tv.

I think the size of the Coliseum makes it look barer than it really is. Although I'd say the crowd at 4a was a bit bigger.
