Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Brute Adidas Natls / Akin's Mat Army

I will be coaching a team ( Akin's Mat Army ) at the 2007 Brute Adidas Natls. This tournament has divisions for all ages, 1st grade thru 11th grade.

The cost to be a part of and compete for Akin's Mat Army is $35, which covers the cost of your camo tee, camo visor and gets you 2 days of practice per week starting March 5th - March 20th. Practices will be held at St. James Academy on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5-6:30 pm. Additionally, parents and wrestlers are responsible for their own registration, details and fees. What days are you practicing? Will it be at Saint James?

Spartan Wrestling will be going Monday thru Thurs in Leavenworth until the end of USA Kansas Kids State. We run three different groups with each group getting three nights of practice a week. There may be several kids that would like to get some workouts with you, especially if you draw a large high school group.

I just edited my post about the practice location and times.

It is open to all ages, but I am expecting quite a few High School kids.

The team will have some MO kids but mostly KS kids, and all kids across the state are invited to join Akin's Mat Army even if they are unable to make the practics.

I was wondering what the weight classes are? Will the little guys be 1st grader against 1st, 2nd grader against 2nd, ect.. Or will they combine the 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, ect..

Wrestlers need to let me know by March 26th if they plan to wrestle with my Army at Brute, so that I can order their cool camo gear.
