In district 1 if there are only 2 kids from the north and 8 from the south do they take 6 from the south to districts to make an 8 man bracket or do they wrestle at districts with only 6 kids?
Only 4 from each district will go. No matter how many in the other district. The will do a round robin if there is more than 5. If there is 6 or 7 wrestlers the #1 from the other district will get a 1st round bye. The #1 placer from each district will go up against the #4, and 2 & 3 will be against each other. SO if there isn't a 4th placer, the #1 from the other district gets a bye...make sense?
that's not correct, cc&djmom, it is up to the district, and I know that district 1 chose to have 8 man brackets as full as they can for districts. I know of a kid that got 5th in our subs that is going to districts.
