Remember this is for all our kids and future or current grandkids.

I was actually involved in getting girls softball added to Pittsburg High School back in the late 80's. In my experience we are going to have to show the people in charge it can be done. I had to call around and find who we could play, how much uniforms would cost, if there was a place for practice and if there would be enough student athletes interested to make it go. In the end, we got it approved, but it was still two years before it was added as a sport.
All I can say is we can send e-mails and point out how many kids in Kansas we have wrestling, how many wrestlers we have that go out of state for college and how may opt for another sport or no sport at all because they can't afford to go across country. I will help however I can.

I would say contact as many other wrestling parents as you can. Many are off the forum now and not paying attention. Alert them to the issue and get them to send petition letters to chancellor and the KU AD. Have their wrestlers send individual letters too. Why not include grandparents, uncles, aunts etc.?

They think we do not have enough interest in Kansas for wrestling. Let's show them that is not true.
