Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Can you beat your coach?

I know this may sound like a weird question, but I want to know if everyone else out there has a coach that can kick their ass in a wrestling match or if your coach is just there for words. Obviously if your coach is 60 years old I don't expect him to be able to own a bunch of high schoolers.

at lhs we had coach dulgarian...he is about 54.... MAYBE 5'4 and 250 pounds....he owned who ever he wanted to....that never stopped me from wrestling him though!!!

As far as the 60 year old coaches, those and even some of the older ones are the ones to watch out for. He wasn't a high school coach but I remember the 3 years I attended the OSU wrestling camp back in the late 70's Myron Roderick would challenge all campers even those that where already in college. That he would refund your camp money if you could take him down, not beat him in a match just a simple take down. In the three years I never saw it happen. No and I was never one of those who stepped out and got schooled.
