Classifications are now posted!

Hutch is 5A again. Leavenworth stayed 6A by 33 students. Looks like 6A State will be held at Wichita State University.

Chief, don't fire your source yet; perhaps they were referring to changes in football classifications. There are several changes for the '09 & '10 seasons; two in 5A, 3 in 6A, 8 in 4A, 10 in 3A, 4 in 2-1A, and 30 in the two 8 man divisions.

the changes in the 11 man divisions are as follows:

Blue Valley West & Stilwell-Blue Valley move from 5A to 6A

Hutchinson & Emporia go from 6A to 5A

SM-Bishop Meige goes from 5A to 4A

Pittsburg goes from 4A to 5A

Belle Plain, Cherokee, Council Grove, Douglass, Goodland, Marysville and Russell move from 4A to 3A

Anthony-Harper, Cheney, Fredonia, Hesston, Neodesha, Rock Creek move from 3A to 4A.

Belleville, Herington, Ness City-Dighton from 2-1A to 3A

Arma, Oberlin, Sacred Heart, Sterling from 3A to 2-1A

3A in football (grades 9-11) but remain 4A (grades 10-12) in all other sports this year. Apparently they have a smaller freshman class.
