Rumor has it that Caldwell will likely wrestle 140 lbs and Means 135 lbs at Derby. Any confirmation of this?

I understand that there are some wrestlers that have been "blocked" (i.e. a superior wrestler - or wrestlers - stood in their way, preventing them from any varsity acclaim) But, in Tanner Cody's circumstance, as a junior, as a varsity wrestler for Bishop Carroll, he managed to place 2nd in the state torunatment, in 2007! This year (i.e. 2007/2008) however ... I'm not sure that he even made a roster spot on the varsity. I would presume that this has happened before, but its hard to imagine any program not finding a spot for a returning, running-up state champion. I would presume that it has happened before, but, I can't presume that it happened very often.

I think you will see Goddard's Fab 6...

135 - Means
140 - Houlden
145 - Caldwell
152 - Fisher
160 - Bonewell
171 - Beard

Somebody should put Detmer/Fisher on Youtube!

Since the Orange Bowl Halftime lasts 3-4 hours I have time to respond.

Elliott will be at 160. Bonewell is not eligable until week.

Brown will be a contender, tough kid. Zahm will be lucky to win 2 matches, outclassed in this bracket.

And why call out the Mercer kid when they did not bump him up 7 pounds to wrestle another Pitt kid? You guys made sure Wise did not make 160 so you would have an excuse not to wrestle Nick. Your program is terrible and always will be.

Wow, you must really not like Pitt. for some reason. Bad experience or what?

So, now I got two different answers for the finals. One person posted 500pm -- another posted 600pm. This makes a big difference when one is driving about 2 hours to get to the sight. Therefore, can someone help solve this riddle please? Can someone please speak with authority about when the finals of the Derby tourney will begin tonight? Thanks.

I can't wait for Young William to become Older William...out of your three posts, two have been running your mouth.

Wrestler67 answered my question - by stating that the AD told wrestler67 that the finals are at 5pm. Thank you very much.

Great finals matchups. Derby did a great seeding job-
13/14 number one seeds are in the finals. 13/14 number 2 or 3 seeds are in the finals. That's pretty amazing. Stay tuned-
