Did Patterson from Garden Plain really bump up to 189 or is that just a mistake?
Also what's that deal with Heckel? I heard he quit school? Is that true?

Patterson was 189 @ the Halstead Invite which he won by fall over Yoder of Hillsboro.

I heard that Mr. Heckel was invited to leave the team. I just heard that through the western Kansas grapevine so I am not sure if it has been confirmed or not.

Patterson going to 189 really throws that weight around a lil bit. I was pretty certain that i knew who the champ would be but idk who it will be.

I talked to Patterson's Mom Wednesday morning (1/23) and she gave no indication whether Ryan will stay at '89 or move back down to '71, where he's certified. Either way, he'll be the state favorite.
