In the next couple of weeks teams will be competing in their respective league tournaments. Who has the toughest league? Just curious as to what people think?

I would have to go with NCKL. Clay Center, Abilene and Concordia are always quality teams. Throw in some individual studs from Marysville, Wamego and Chapman and it can be brutal.

I'd probably go with Disney at Heavyweight. And that's tough.

Kyle Hess - GEHS for 125. He's 1-0 with Hood (beat him at Louisburg Tourney).

It doesn't have a league tournament, and I'm not sure if it's "a" league or "several" leagues, but the AVCTL has a heck of a lot of good wrestling teams/individuals. From a spectator view, it would be a good tournament year in, year out. Finding the right time and format might be tough for the coaches though.
Division I: Derby, Goddard, Hutchinson, Maize, Salina Central, and Salina South
Division II: Arkansas City, Campus, McPherson, Newton, Valley Center, and Winfield
Division III: Andover, Augusta, Buhler, ElDorado, Mulvane, and Rose Hill
Division IV: Andale, Andover Central, Clearwater, Circle, (Kingman), and Wellington

I appreciate the nice compliment. I do miss coaching and would love to help coach, but I can't commit to it with my schedule. I'm certainly getting my fill of middle school activities (nothing beats a 15-13 basketball game ), but I'm also getting a lot of time with my own family that high school coaching didn't allow. I'd like to get more involved in freestyle/greco if possible and if they'll quit changeing the rules every hour. I am enjoying officiating right now, too. I feel like I'm still involved and hopefully helping out. I'm glad I was relatively easy on officials before, because it's a different world now. I'd encourage anyone that can't commit the time to coach to get involved as an official, especially guys right out of high school and college. It's pretty decent money, and you still get to be around the wrestling family. have a good one, Ryan

i did the officiating thing. i dont think i was too good. thats why i switched. lol. no i have kids that wrestle now and want to be involved. If you do get involved in the freestyle and greco let me know. I am brooklyns dad from your old soccer team if you dont remember me. I would think that the freestyle coaches would like to get someone like you involved. I know that coach Craig is part of that and he is an awesome coach.

If Jilka got involved in freestyle it would be amazing. Not only is his a great role model he knows how to motivate his kids. Not to mention a great teacher.
