Is it just me or is anyone else so nervous about tomorrow they think they are going to get sick! I hate/love this time of the year. Can't concentrate on anything but wrestling. Can't concentrate on anything but worry that tomorrow and Saturday will be a great day.

I understand your feelings, although I would have to say that my sons nerves are worse than mine. this is his 1st yr wrestling Varsity. He is scared he does not want to let the team down. My husband and I and his coach just tell him to just do what he knows and that is wrestle the rest will fall into place. I will get really bad the moment before he wrestles.

I hear both of you. I will be so physically sick by saturday morning because of nerves for my son, I won't even be able to eat. Happened last year, and it just doesn't get any better. I have 3 more behing our oldest one that is wrestling this weekend, and all 3 wrestle.

I hear all of you but please remember one day there will be no regionals or state tour after your son graduates so try to enjoy every moment of every match win or loose my son is in college now and is done with wrestling and dad is the one missing those special moments, those butterflys in the tummy Good luck to all

I'm a wrestler's mom, too. I know what you mean about nerves. My son was in the championship match recently of an important tournament and I felt like I was either going to vomit or my heart was going to beat right out of my chest. But I do try to savor each moment. They're so special and over too soon!

I do savor each moment and I feel very fortunate to have time to spend with my son. I learned this lesson very well in August of 2006. That was the year my son lost a very close friend of his on the first day of football practice in a car accident. One of the things his friends dad said to me on the day of the funeral was "watch everything he does, never take a minute for granted, because you never know when you will never have that chance again." It is words I take to heart.

I started this post just to let other people know that there is nothing wrong with the miserable feeling we all have in our stomaches.
