Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle Wichita classic?

Do you seed acccording to record? Or do you give the Kansas wrestlers top seed? I know for a fact that last year Oklahoma brought their state placers to Kansas in a certain weight class and dominated the tourney!! Now they got first round bye's. I feel they should not get a bye. Our kids work really hard to get this far in the season and to let the Oklahoma wrestlers have top seed is not fair to our kids....Any thought's before the seeding meeting comes up?

It should not matter where you are from, if you are the top seed, you should get the spot. Make the bracket as fair as possible. This is not Kansas against Oklahoma, Missouri, or Nebraska. I would say if the kid dominated last year and comes back this year they should get the number one seed.

if my kid is a top seed i would rather him NOT have the bye. He would rather wrestle and get the day started. He absolutely hates waiting 2 or 3 hours for his first match.

Even If I was a top seed nobody wants a bye no matter what.If we take first I want to earn it.Prove you're #1 on the mat.You can never get enough mat time.
