Wandering who will be attending Ottawa at these weights. My son has wrestled 61 all year but we may go 64 at Ottawa since we have hit a growth spurt and making weight 2 days in a row could be a challenge now.

Jackson Hartley - Haysville, will either be at 58 or 61, he is starting to have a hard time holding 58.

I watched Jackson wrestle at Hutchinson and Salina and he looked really good. I would love to see him and my son wrestle I think it would be a very exciting match to watch.

Nice tournament at Mulvane today. A big CONGRATULATIONS to Brady Bockover. Him and Jackson made it to the finals and battled it out. Third period tied 6-6 with maybe 10 seconds left, both boys are side by side fighting for control. Wow. Brady scores with like 3 seconds left. I tell you what, when Jackson has always beaten Brady and for this to happen. Well, the smile and relief on Brady's face was priceless. What a good match back and forth. I am Jackson's dad and am proud to say that he needs to b beat every now and then. This hopefully will make him practice harder. He kinda had a meltdown after to match and for anyone watching I am truly sorry. I took him out to the hallway and made him sit and think about why he lost and what he could have done better. Anyone who knows me, knows it was hard to hold back any and all emotions when a child acts like that. Good luck to these kids in the coming weeks. I am sure there are more surprises to come from each of them.

Thanks Ryan, it was nice to see Brady finally smile after a match with Jackson. That might just be the confidence builder he needed to put him over the hump. I watched that match again last night. It was a fight to the end. Just thank god that neither one used the headlock until the end. It will be exciting to see how they get bracketed in Ottawa. I just hope they take the records and tournaments wrestled and placed in into consideration more so than the 1-10 rating. Its easy to rate a really quality kid a 5 or 6 just cause he is a first year wrestler but may be really good. I also watched the smith and miller matches. Those 2 kids battled it out 2 times and 2 very good matches.
