Tyler Downs from Derby, wrestling in the 18/U 215lb class, won 2nd at the Rocky Mountain Nationals this past weekend. Tyler went 6 wins with only 1 lose and quickly became the Ref favorite & the talk of the coaches with 5 pins over some of the best that Colorado could offer. Tyler’s only lose was a close decision to this years Colorado H/S State Champion.
Tyler represented Kansas well and was introduced as the “Class Act” from Kansas & stirring interest from several of Colorado Collages and others as far way as New Mexico. I guess the 8hr. drive & getting home at 2 A.M. was worth it.
Congratulations Tyler- You made Mom & Dad PROUD!!!!
