I just want to congrat my son Quinton Lapointe on a 2nd in State, this was are 1st year wrestling and he did Outstanding. Your Dad and Coaches are proud of you. We also like to thank all the Coaches from the SW GRAPPLERS AS WELL AS CASEY FROM THE YMCA!! This was a great, fun, and of course heartbreak Tournament. also congrats to to the 73lb Champion Jarmcus Johnson.

Is he at the bottom of 8U and or at the top? Good job for first year kid!

I'm not sure why you put the 'heartbreak' part in there. I would say it was a fantastic tournament for a 1st-yr wrestler. 2 of our 7 qualifiers were 1st-year wrestlers. 1 got beat out, the other got 2nd. The only thing I did after their last matches was thoroughly congratulate them on great seasons. You gotta be proud of anybody that gives it their best shot, whether they get beat out at sub-district or place at state.

Not a Heart break for me but for him, I tell you what Im the proudest parent around right now. He was at the very bottom of the bracket. He's alittle down on him self, but i have his spirits up again. He just thinks since he got 1st at Subs and Dist. it would be a easy win! well he found out the best of the best show up and everybody is ready to Win.

That is a great accomplishment for a first year wrestler. I think I asked my question in a confusing way though. I was trying to find out if he will still be in 8U next year or if he will be moving up to the 10U age group?
