Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Smoky Valley Old Timers Tournament

An Old-Timers Tournament will be held at Smoky Valley High School in Lindsborg on May 17. If you're not as good as you once were, then you officially qualify as an Old-Timer. I will post a brochure in the next few days with details. I just wanted to give you a heads-up so you can find your shoes and start getting in shape. Rumor has it that Coach Elliott plans to get down to 189# for this event so he can relive his youth. Old-Timer’s Tournament

When: Saturday, May 17, 2008

Where: Smoky Valley High School
1 Viking Boulevard
Lindsborg KS 67456

Weigh-In: 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Weight Classes: Wrestlers will be grouped in 3-man, 4-man or 5-man round robins from light to heavy.

Headgear and Singlet Not Required

Wrestling Starts at 9:30 a.m.

Periods: 2-1-1 with 45-second rest between

Cost: $20 per person

Must be at least 18 to compete

Awards: Top 3 receive medals. Plaque to Most Outstanding Wrestler.
