No, Schoolboys are not eligible for Cadets...unless the rule has been changed by USA Wrestling recently.

I am looking for a 91 pounder. Someone with a 1992 or 1993 birth date.
Bo Pursel is a Schoolboy I know but where are these other guys and tell them the State of Kansas needs them.

Kid's State Folkstyle Results

85 - Anthony Calderon
Chris Burley
Jace Roy
Josh Thoele
Javier Vieyra
Michael Helms
90 - Dylan Schumacher
Lincoln Lemon
Kale Cauthon
Jason Perez
Bryce Dakin
If you know any of these guys and they have a 92/93 birthdate, the Kansas Cadet Dual team needs them!

here is the lineup so far, looking for a 91 pounder and waiting on some phone calls for a couple of 160 pounders (Gaithers, Akin). Give me an email if you know someone at these two weights and see you all at Southern Plains, if the tornados don't take me out. Getting wild!

Congratulations to all members, expect greatness, you are the Lions of Kansas wrestling for the Pride of Kansas!

Would like to talk with Luke Hayes to see if he is interested in wrestling Greco-Roman since he took first at state. He did not sign up at state but I saw he is going to Southern Plains, so if anything will try to talk to him there.

Look like some of the Northern Boys are doing all right.
Toomy Williams took 1st
Ryne Cokeley is 2-0

Heavier weights look skimpy
only 1 - 285 and 2 - 215 pounders
Could of sent some guys up just for the seating points, top 3 are automatic qualifiers for Fargo but they also give their dual teams points for seeding to get us in a good pool and allow us to wrestle the right teams at the right time.

Zach Cook is 2-0
Blaine Smith is 1-1
Parker Madl went 0-2
Mario Croado went 0-2

James Cook

I don't understand how you can put somebody on the daul team that hasn't put a day into wrestling during the off-season. I believe that we do want to have the best team, however how can you put a person on the team that didn't compete at the state tournament?

There is no perfect solution for the dual team selection. This year we held state much earlier than ever before which put it in conflict with baseball, track, golf, prom, graduations, etc. It is hard to have a black and white selection process if you want the best wrestlers possible. I think a three day prep camp complete with wrestle offs might be the best way. You can only get invited to the camp if you been in the top 3 of any of the four or five FS/GR spring events. Any other suggestions?
