East Kansas Championship Wrestling Club Pre-Season Training at St. James Academy - Lenexa, KS

Original members of the East Kansas Wrestling Club will "resurrect" the dominant tradition, and kick it off with a pre-season training program. The theme of the 8-week pre-season program will be "hybrid workouts." The systematic and specially designed workouts will combine sports-specific strength and conditioning training with cutting edge wrestling fundamentals, drills, and live sparring.

This program is for high school wrestlers. It will be very intense training for serious athletes.

Sessions will officially start September 16th and continue until November 6th. We will hold FREE informational workouts/parent meetings/and sign-ups on September 9th and 11th at 6:30pm. USAW cards are required, available for purchase, and are included in the price of the program.

Training staff includes Byron Mays, former professional football player. Eric Akin, USA Wrestling Team Member.

All who are interested in a flyer should email eakin@kc.rr.com or WCokeley@Silgancontainers.com or attend one of the meetings next week.

I have uploaded a video which displays some of the drills and excercises Eric Akin and Byron Mays will be utilizing during their preseason training sessions. We had a large turnout last night. Bring your shoes and plan on working out at our Thursday meeting. We will be cutting off sign up at 40 wrestlers.
