I know he was the top seed. 1st semester I don't even think he was in the lineup...was Thurston who beat Hasenbank of Concordia 12-9 in the Colby Duals. Where is Thurston at and is Siale a new kid in town or an old one that was just laying low...didn't even see his name on the Chapparal team preview!

Chaparral, KS doesn’t go to the Colby Duals. You’re thinking of Chaparral, CO. Joe Siale wrestled for Chaparral until the last part of last year. Not sure if he was injured or if he quit last year. He took 1st at Halstead and 2nd at Hesston this year.

Joey Siale(retuning at the same weight)is a Senior who has never finished a season for one reason or another. Last year he broke his jaw in mid Jan. We have finaly got him focused - maybee? He won the Pratt tournament his 1st 2 years, 2nd last 2. He won Hesston last year and finnished 2nd this year. He placed 2nd last year and took 3rd this year @ Augusta. took 2nd last year and 4th (match limits)this year @ Clearwater. To my knowlege he has only made it through 5 matches that have gone 6 minutes in his life - winning 1. The past 2 weeks he has reached last years form pinning 9 kids at Garden Plain and Circle in less than 10 minutes. Although not a good technical wrestler, he has supernatural, God given wrestling skill. I just watch and ask myself- How did he do that?! Hopefully, he can make it to Hays in this his final season?
