Beeson has set it up from 6-8 on Wednesday night.

Please PM Beeson so he knows who you are bringing. He can then double check and make sure he'll have someone there for your kids.

Is this open room structured at all or how is it run?

We will do stretching, warm up, some cardio, conditioning, to get a good sweat going. Drilling and then about an hour and fifteen minutes of hard wrestling. Groups of 4 for iron-man and state champ. May finish with some 3 minute matches. The practice will be structured. I know the Brawlers and Derby are bringing some down. Ark City will have 3 coaches there, Derby and Brawlers will have at least one each. If you plan on coming give me a weight and age and we will try to have some partners for you.

My boy is 8u wrestles 58 but weighs about 55.5. My only concern is that I know how good Jake and others are. Is it going to do the kid any good outside of extra conditioning to go get thumped by much more expierenced and better wrestlers?

I'm not scared of the competetion but seeing how I started him kind of later than many of the successful wrestlers I see. I wonder if I might destroy his self confidence rather than show him what it means to kick it up a couple notches. I try to push and back off with my overlying goal to always make it so he enjoys it so that he sticks with it and doesn't want to quit. Wrestling is much harder on little kids than most team sports in my opinion.

We will have several different skill levels in the practice room. I will have some B and C wrestlers in the 49-58 range, 6-8.

I plan to come down and check it and bring a 8 55-58 pounder this Wednesday then.

The more the merrier, bring down a couple more if you like.

As of now Brawlers are bringing 10U 61 A, 14U 76 A, 14U 118 A, 12U 75 C, 10U 61 B or C, 10U 64 B or C. Waiting for Derby's wrestlers. Should know more tonight.

beeson we will not be able to make it tonite, me, jeffrey and my daughter all tested postive for strep throat yesterday, jeffrey is upset because he has been looking forward to it all week but theres always next time.

I am still at work and look to be here awhile so Lane won't make it down tonight either. Please keep us posted on any upcoming open nights so we can try and get down there. Hell If you have access to the room I wouldn't mind a once a month out of season open night.

42 wrestlers showed up tonight. Thanks to Augusta, Brawlers, Derby, and Valley Center for making the trip down. Next session looks to be at Derby. If you want some intense wrestling, clear your calander for next Wednesday.

Good stuff folks!!!!!!!! Derby will be closer to the center of our area, so I would expect an even bigger turnout next wednesday. If you can't find someone that can whoop ya, you ain't looking very hard......

Again a very good practice and Doug is right if you can't find somebody to give you a hard time change groups because this is some really good competition at these practices. Hard practices but the kids that are going are loving it and asking if we can go back.
