Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Metro Classic DVD's

There has been some interest expressed here about the availability of DVD's of this years classic. The short answer is, yes there will be that opportunity. I am making them and will be glad to get one to anyone interested in it. It will be a straight copy of the Metro Sports production of the meet. We will also include some interviews with the kids that you may find interesting. I think the cost will be about $5.00. We won't make any money on it but that is part of the deal with Metro Sports. I am thinking that is about what it will cost to dupe, bag, and ship it so we will just call it that. I am thinking the turnaround from the time I get your order will be about a week or so. Metro Sports does a wonderful job of producing this so it will be a very quality disk and I think you may enjoy it.

I believe there is someone on the Missouri side that is going to live stream it on the internet as well. I am not sure on that but believe that to be true. As we get info on that I will pass it along. Hope you all come up and see the meet but if you can't this is a good option.

Do the DVD's have sound? I don't get any sound when watching the matches on the Missouri website.

Yes there will be sound. It is a duplicate of the Metro Sports telecast. I have not yet recieved the master or word on when it will be available as of Friday, March 13, soooooooooo, I am sort of at their mercy as to when I can get that and start copying it. Now if you have already copied that off TV don't bother buying this because it is exactly the same deal. I will post on here when I get it and when they go out. We will let you know.

As of Saturday, March 14, no word on the master to cut the copies. Hoping for Monday will keep you posted. Sorry for the delay.

As of Monday still nothing. Will keep you posted. It will happen it is just a matter of time.

Coach Hodges has contacted them (metro sports) several times, left my number with them, but as of today (Weds) we have recieved no word on the master of the Metro Match. Troy is in St. Louis for the NCAA's when he gets back we will attempt to make contact with them again. If I cannot get the master by next week I will be refunding all money sent to us for the dvd. I am so sorry about this. If they come to us after that date i will contact you individually.

Not your fault they 'dropped the ball'. I would imagine most don't mind waiting . . .

I think we will eventually get something here. They are very busy with the NAIA tourney here in town and the NCAA's as well and I think they may just have overlooked it. When Troy gets back we will get back with them and as soon as I get it I will turn them around in one day I promise.

As of Monday morning 3/23/9, nothing from them. Troy will be calling them today. We should know something tonight. I am hoping that we can be making copies tomorrow but who knows. I once again appologize for this delay.

I recieved an email from Metro Sports yesterday (3/23/9). They simply said "The DVD is not ready yet, we will email you when it is ready". Not a lot of info but at least we now know that at some point it will be forthcoming. Sooooooooo we shall see what we shall see.
