Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle 16u 150 lbs. One to Watch At State

Hey I think everyone should pay attention to the 16u 150 lbs. bracket at Kids State. Their will be 3 great wrestlers all in this bracket. You have Eric Johnson from Norton a 2 time state champion, Thomas (T-Bone) Rhodes, and Ross Taplin from Abilene, I am anticipating these matchups and I hope everyone else gets to see them

Yeah Johnson and Rhodes will be a good match but Ross Taplin will get killed.

Bare in mind that Taplin beat Rhodes in the state finals at last years freestyle state tournament.

Quite true he may get killed, but I really wouldn;t underestimate him beucase I wrestle with him every night and I know how good he is, but we will see

Rhodes also lost to johnson in freestyle/greco state, he lost to him in both styles 2 years ago

Don't forget about that Jared Daniels kid...I hear he is as tough as nails

The kids State tounament is Folk style. What happened a couple of years a go really dosent matter we are in the present not the past. Enough Said

Maybe Rhodes isn't that good at Greco/Freestyle, but he is a bad *** in folkstyle, so i think all the greco/freestyle tournaments are irrelivant to folkstyle kids state..
