Just curious, why don't you allow walk-in registration?

We haven't allowed walk in registration for the past two years. It allows us to have the brackets seeded and complete earlier, which ensures we start on time.

ATTN: FALL BRAWL WRESTLERS

We strongly encourage all wrestlers to purchase their USA Wrestling card through USAWKS. A portion of all card sales goes back to the state organization.

There will be a representative of Missouri USA Wrestling (because the event is in Missouri) selling cards on Friday night. You will be able to purchase a card on Friday night at weigh in regardless of what state you are from.

Please make every effort to support Kansas USA Wrestling by purchasing your card before weigh ins.

A current USA Wrestling card is required to weigh in. Cards run from September to September so almost everyone will need a new card. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks!

I noticed that when some wrestlers get to view who has already registered they tend to switch weights when they have someone in their bracket they do not want to wrestle. What are some opinions about being able to view who has already registered for an event like this?

Well, if you referring specifically to one wrestler, he moved up because he has grown and doesn't feel like cutting any weight for this tournament. It is homecoming weekend too so he wants to eat and drink without discretion. It is a long season from Mid October to the end of July.

But does it really matter? It isn't poker. If someone doesn't want to or wants to wrestle someone else then let them move. Who cares? I like the ability to view the wrestlers not to any advantage but to generate interest in possible matchups or to draw wrestlers into a bracket.

I like it! No, I LOVE it!

I see taht we can get the USAW cards at weigh in tomorrow. But can someone tell me where I can get the necessary forms to sign. I will not be attending the weigh in with my son and need to sign forms before hand. There has to be some easier way for High School kids to renew their cards!

P.S... For those of us in KS, the site that was listed above does not allow KS residents to renew online. I tried to call Kathy but was unable to reach her!

We are one of the only states not to allow online registration.
Our executive board would rather pay Kathy Juby $20,000 a year to process the cards.

WEIGH IN TIME CHANGE: Friday 6pm-9pm
It looks like we will be able to get into the gym earlier than planned.
Please remember that Staley High School is a little tricky to get to, please leave yourself plenty of time to make it before weigh ins close.
Registration is now closed. We ended up with 373 wrestlers representing 13 states. Should be a great tournament, hope to see everyone there!!

I noticed that many wrestlers switched weights. Will Cokeley get over yourself.
But I was just curious on some opinions on being able to see who all registered I see pros and cons. I personally like the thrill of the draw and not knowing. It is always exciting to not know and see who is in your bracket and where you get placed at. This is going to be a great early season competition.

I like seeing the entries as does my son. It gets him excited if there are top kids entered. Also if you are in a weight with very few entries and are coming from far away. You might not want to come. We were at a tournament where a kid came from GA and was the only one in his weight. Plane ticket, hotel, etc.

Just my opinion.
