After watching the world championships up to this point, I am convinced that encouraging more youth to participate in Freestyle and Greco is critical to international success for the United States. I encourage serious consideration and support of the Triple Crown award that has been discussed. To encourage more youth to wrestle all 3 styles, at least through their Sophomore year of high school or on a kids level is to better prepare our youth for international styles of wrestling. I have never understood how that a state, NCAA or other style of championship is better than an International Championship. For those encouraging and supporting our summer programs, thank you, I for one truly believe that you are helping our wrestlers have the opportunity to excel in the future on a international level, the highest level possible for any wrestler.
