Is Wednesday night the correct deadline for entering kids on trackwrestling for D2? What time and where is the D2 seeding meeting on Sunday?

I still think we are doing a real diservice to our high schoolers and middle schoolers by having the deadlines so far in advance of the seeding meeting.

Yes, they have to be entered in to Trackwrestling by Wednesday, March 3, by 12:00 midnight.

The seeding meeting will be held at Andover Central High School at 1:00 on Sunday the 8th.

Sporto the deadline is 4 days before the seeding meeting.

Article II section 3.
SEEDING MEETINGS - Each district will establish a deadline, 10 days prior to the sub-district tournament after which no additional entries may be made. At the seeding meeting, weight or age corrections or scratches may be made in all age groups, including walk-on wrestlers, prior to the start of seeding the wrestlers.

What is meant by "walk-on wrestlers" Does that mean that if a club forgets to sign a kid up they can still get him in prior to the seeding meeting?

Also the flyer for subs says that entries are due March 4th

That was my fault...I will get an e-mail out to all District 2 clubs correcting the mistake.

Remember that you can make changes to weights before the seeding meeting starts. No that doesn't mean that when you see a tough kid in your kids' weight that you can move then, this is prior to anyone knowing where anyone is at weight wise.

You might verify this before you take it as fact....

I cannot access the tournament flyer from Trackwrestling for D2S subdistricts...is there somewhere else to get that information? Thanks.

It used to be that some junior high/middle schools seasons ran up to even the state tournament. Wrestlers involved with their school teams were allowed to "walk-on" at any point including the state tournament. Meaning a place would have been created for them in a bracket at either subs, districts or even the state tournament. The need for that part of our by-laws has been eliminated to my knowledge by the change in school wrestling seasons and we should probably eliminate it.
