I know that I asked this before but I didn't get any response. Since we haven't wrestled as much as we did in the past, we have not seen a lot of the wrestlers who will be going to state. Can anyone give us any information on who to watch out for and what to expect. We have wrestled Detmer and Rempe and I feel that they will probably be the number 1 and number 2 at state.

Detmer, Rempe and Kruetzer.

After that, Sanders, Armstrong, Lemon and Johnson.

Blasevic should have lost the semi to Johnson and Ochoa was on the other side.

Thanks for responding. Can you tell me where and who Sanders and Armstrong has wrestled? Have the wrestled Detmer and Rempe and if so, what was the score. Thanks in advance.

Kreutzer will beat Detmer this weekend, even though he hasnt this year he learned an excellent latterral drop so when the kid pushes on him he will throw him.

I still feel that the winner will be decided between Rempe and Detmer. I say that with Rempe's speed and ability, he should come out on top. I haven't seen Kreutzer this year so I don't know what he is like but I have been very impressed with Detmer and Rempe.

Kruetzer is tough. He still has to beat Ochoa then whomever survives out of either Johnson, Armstrong or Rempe just to get to Detmer. Detmer has a slightly easier path with Blasevic, Sanders or Lemon.

The last time that Jess Lemon and Detmer wrestled each other, Jess only lost by 4 points. He also almost had Detmer when Detmer went to throw him. He stated that he didn't think that Detmer was "unbeatable" for him but that Rempe was due to his speed. The last time that Rempe and him wrestled, the score was 13 to 1. It will be very interesting to see how things come out. I know that Jess has set a goal for himself to at least place. I hope he reaches his goal.

You will find a commonality among Detmer's defeated opponents. He wrestles smart and usually enough to win. Every match that I've seen, he controls the match but does nothing spectacular. He lost to the Oklahoma kid in Wichita, but has cleaned the table here in KS. There are several wrestlers that have come close, (like Zach Rieb), but the end result is the same. He won Liberty like that too. The way I see it, there are 8 wrestlers fighting for 6 spots.

In no order:

Detmer
Johnson
Kreutzer
Rempe
Lemon
Armstrong
Sanders
Blazevic

On any given day, each of these kids can pin you.
