Does anyone know of any good and affordable camps taking place before next season? I know of a few but wanted some knowledge on others that people know about. Thanks in advance.

Best camp hands down. Tony and Nick Purler's camps. They only take 40 to 50 kids per week and worth every penny. For the newer kids I know that the All-American camps that Jeremy Biddle puts on in Winfield is also a great camp.
Well you're just a special kind of stupid aren't you?

Garden City is having a Purler camp this summer, dates are June 22-25. This is a commuter camp and as Jerry Dale stated only 50 kids. You can contact me for more information or go to the camps sections and get the info. from there. Coach Prieto 620-271-2274 cprieto@gckschools.com
Working on another camp later in the summer which will be a Granby Camp. Will be very affordable.

Nearly every major college program has a camp during the summer and all of these camps have quality technique and competition. However, most of these cost $300 plus for 5 days or so.
I would recommend the team camp at Labette CC. Good technique is shown here by the LCC coaching staff and wrestlers. Certain years they have brought in a guest clinician. The competition is pretty tough with SE Kansas, SW Missouri, and NE Oklahoma schools annually attending.
Another series of camps that are will run are those that Eric Luedke puts on. However, I'm unsure if he is still doing this.
Fort Hays State puts on a camp that is a little more affordable than the Division 1 camps. Get to see western Kansas wrestlers and I would presume a few out of staters.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers host some great technique and team camps. Oklahoma State has an excellent team camp. Watch the board for the many local camps being put on.

Ken Chertow delivers a high calibur camp and will be in KCMO this year.
I think you need to read the fine print on the Purler camp -- wanting to think they limit the kids to 50 kids per session but run two sessions therefore there may be almost 100 kids each week at the camp.
OSU is primarily ran by Asst. Coach Eric Guerrero as John delivers two camps during the same week at OSU & Reno. Therefore is left up to the OSU wrestlers for the most part.
Roller's seem to be having quite the camp at Tahlequah have heard many good things.
The Martin's used to bring the Granby system camp to Mexico, MO which was a terrific camp back in its day.
Of course for intensive camps look to J. Robison--MN and Cael Sanderson Penn State to deliver nearly a month long of grueling intensity for your wrestler.
A few more to mention is Baker University's Coach May's camp in Baldwin City.
O fcourse a day camp for team & young wrestlers definnitely would be Coach Renfro's Labette Cardinal camp.
Chas Thompson (former bird) does a great job with his FHSU camp in Hays.....anybody else? I'm sure I'm missing some.....
In it to win it.
