Unfortunately it was more than a dislocation, The Orthopedist in Salina placed his elbow back in the socket and requested a follow up in Manhattan. Yesterday during the follow up with our Orthopedist, he told us that it was going to require surgery to fix the fracture. Steve is scheduled to have the surgery later this week to place pins in the joint. The doctor described the injury as the classic “Tommy John”... fortunately he’s not a baseball player. He is definitely out for the rest of folkstyle season but hopefully after extensive rehab he can make it back for freestyle.

Also LuAnn and I would like to thank all that came to his aid in Salina, His spirits are up… but his disappointment about not being able to finish the season will take some time to heal.

Thanks to all,

Mark & LuAnn Miller

We are sorry to hear about Steve's injury and pray he has a speedy recovery. It looked serious from the stands in Salina. We are looking forward to freestyle & greco and hope Steve is able participate. There's nothing like summer wrestling! Will Steve be in schoolboy or cadet this year?

I don't want to wish his life away but he will be at the top end of schoolboy... He sure would like to goto Fargo with the big boys. His older brother has told him alot of stories, some good and some bad... I think he prefers the bad ones. He will be out to prove the doctors wrong I can guarantee you that. He'll be back sooner than latter.
