District 1 Clubs have been sent the agenda for the District meeting that is going to be coming up Sunday October the 17th starting at noon. They were sent out via email today to the emails we had on file from last year so if you are not the one from your club that the info should going to would you please forward it to the right person.

The information has also been sent by mail also so be looking for it there also.

I also want to remind you all that there will be several topics to discuss so your representation is highly recommended.

Only 44 of 75 clubs appeared for the District meeting today. I hope that we get a few more than that attending the annual state body meeting in Salina.

Starting with the 2010-11 membership year, USA Wrestling members in the coach and officials categories will be able to register for two-year memberships.

Members in these categories must go through a background check every two seasons, and the new two-year membership allows coaches and officials to have their membership coincide with their background check. The opportunity to purchase a two-year membership in the coach and officials categories is only available to those whose background check is good through August 31, 2012.

Coaches and officials can only receive their two-year membership by through USA Wrestling’s online membership system.

An additional advantage to members who choose to purchase a two-year membership is a reduced overall cost to register.

For any coach or official who expects to be a member for the next two years, this is an easy way to join USA Wrestling, while saving time and money.

Unfortunatelly we lost that battle at the state meeting last year so you cannot purchase cards online.
