I think it was last year that was so embarrasing when 0 Kansas teams entered the Toshiba Midwest Classic in Kansas City. I have read complaints about the distance rule on here a ton of times, but this may be one of the best in terms of short travel and tough competition that any team would see during the year. Maybe some teams that wrestle in 10 same tournamenents together send their JV to the SouthWest Shawnee Mission NorthEast Inner Outter Invitational that same week, and have their varsity step it up a notch or 2.

I am the number one complainer about the travel rule and one of the biggest fans of the Toshiba. I am still trying to figure out how to get at least Taylor and Ryne into this event instead of the Joke County Classic.

I may not know which is the best tournament as far as competition, but I do know how excited our group of boys get at the chance to beat out the other Johnson County teams. It's a pride thing.
