Who is the kid that got the #1 seed at 133? I'll still take Isenberg to win that bracket.
Not to take anything away from the guys in these brackets, but they could have used additional firepower and made this a high quality tourney. I realize Baker is growing a program and there are careful steps to be considered, but making your tourney a really tough one only helps you build a program. If they could fill out 32 man brackets that would be a pretty outstanding tourney. They still are pretty good sized brackets and I'm glad to see Baker is hosting the tourney.

All I could find on the kid was that he finished 6th at the Cal Juco Championships in 2008-09. Not sure if he redshirted last year or wrestled for Bacone though in 09-10. See how good he is 2nd round against Lovvorn who beat Floyd in OT last week.

Early in the day the 1st round was updated, but nothing since...did the connection get lost at the school, or do I have a problem on my end?

Josh did a great job. There is a lot of talent on the team this year. Does anyone have a status update on the UT-Austin wrestler?

I see Baker Qualified 15 for Nationals, what does that mean exactly? How many wrestlers can one school take to Nationals? I am new to the NAIA, so I need some edumacation about this! Thanks Mark

Thanks Mark Unless the NAIA changed it, each team is limited to a maximum of 12 qualifiers that they can take to the National tournament and no more than two qualifiers per weight class. So I believe this would mean that if Baker University had 15 wrestlers who met the NAIA qualifying National Tournament standard yesterday, Baker would have to choose 12 from the 15 to actually take to Nationals. I don't believe a team is required to pick a qualifier at each weight class. For example, I believe a team would have the option to pick two qualifiers in 6 weight classes and not select any at the other four weight classes. This is my understanding of it and please correct me if I am mistaken. Thank you.
