Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Newman University Invite; Sunday 12/12

Wanted to get a reminder on the forum regarding Newman University's 1st Annual Jet Invite. We decided to hold this on a Sunday with the same concept as the Kansas Cup last year to give both kids club programs and high school programs a chance to watch some wrestling at the next level.
Teams- Wayland, Central Baptist, University Central Oklahoma, OBU, Central Missouri, Truman, Newman, Neosho CC. If you have some teams that are wanting a group rate let me know and we will work out something. Thanks, Coach Smith

Wrestling will start at 9:00 AM and run straight through. We plan on finals starting around 4:00 PM, but we will not start them prior to 3:00 PM if we are running ahead of schedule.

Will any of the tournament be webcasted or updated live (at least bracket wise)? Also what place you all wrestling out too?

We will wrestle out to 6th place and the finals should be on some sort of webcast.

What is the cost of entry? I would love to come but the economy is killing me! hahahah

I am sure it will be something like $6.00 for adults and then $3.00 for kids over 8, but I will work group rates for teams and clubs. $2.00 a head for any groups over 10. Just let me know. Coach Smith

This tournament should go by super fast. Most of the teams don't have full rosters (at least dual wise).

We have allowed an "x" team to make sure we have full brackets. All the DII teams for the most part had full teams--we had to fill some holes for the newer programs. No big deal though, it should make for a good tournament.
The mat lamp was installed today--so we will be wrestling the finals under the lamp for the 1st time in Newman's history. Check Em Off!!
