As I sat there watching the USJOC 15u division compete, I was thinking how tough that tourney would be if KSHSAA didn't have their heads in the a$$es, and would "allow" our Kansas kids to compete. And all of you whiners that argue that a kid shouldn't miss his HS team's tourney, to go to a tougher tourney, don't have that argument here, as it is New Year's weekend, and high schoolers aren't doing anything that weekend.
I will be cocky and say that Kansas kids could/would have won 1/3 to 1/2 of the 15u brackets at USJOC, if our 15u HS kids were able to wrestle it. No offense to the OK kids, it is just a fact that Kansas has 15u eligible kids capable of winning that tourney.
Apparently it is not a problem in Oklahoma. I guess OSHSAA is stupid for letting their HS kids compete outside of the school team's schedule...........

At least we have better score reporting, rankings, and websites then they do. Try to find a schedule or a bracket for a regular tournament down there. I think that is why Kansas kids are getting scooped up more and more by colleges too, the great job by the KWCA with the website allows for coaches at the "next level" to find what they are looking for, unless you look at the 3-2-1A State "unnofficial" site which never has year in school.

We heard about it at Kansas tournaments and how tough it was so we attended last year and again this year. Folks, make this part of your schedule it is a great tournament and now with the addition of the dual format on Sunday it got even better. We got 10 matches, 10 quality matches in a 3 day period. "If you are not wrestling the best you will never be the best".
