Want some thought on this. If you are running a weigh in is a home bathroom scale acceptable?? Or if using a regular wrestling scale....should you have a weight available to prove it is reading correct??? Feel there is TOO much diversity on which scale to step on or that scale is lighter than this one seems to be the going saying. These are local tournaments either give .2-.3 or calibrated your scales and hire a ref to run it....so its fair to everyone!!!!

I for one am not worried about a lb or two. We will ALL see at Subs who has been honest about the weight class all season!

Not worried about a pound or two. Why even have weight classes just size them up and let them go at it. Rules and Weights are put in wrestling for a reason. Like them or not they are there. If you don't want to watch you kids weight move them up. There should be no reason in kids club that someone does not make weight. Take the focus off maintaining your weight and put it on learning. Winning feels great to everyone but at what cost

I think a bigger concern would be somebody bracketing kids with a weight spread of greater than the KANSAS rules allow by more than 10 pounds. A pound or two is a whole lot better than giving up 30!

Will
Did you see this at a Haysville Satellite weigh in?
I do know that we had a scale that was off by a few tenths so we gave a little on that scale.
I agree, make the weight or move up.

We learned a lot from these weigh ins!

IMO...
This is still a new process that I know will eventually work itself out into a common practice. We were so worried about trying to make it easy on everyone that we had too many satellite locations.
But thank you to everyone who hosted on for us!
