We are full. The last 50 entries will be sent an email tonight as we exceeded our target.

Thanks to all who entered. We still have 150 spots open for Sunday's Donna Woofter Novice.

I would like to know how kids were added this morning. Its not a big deal now but this morning it was. Brackets were posted and wrestling had already started, I had my bout numbers written down and my son had a bye. I went on to coach other kids in the other gym until my son was up and the next thing I know my son comes in upset because he found out at the last second that someone was added and he had a match right then. He had to scramble to find a coach who doesn't coach him much and get to the mat quick so he didn't get scratched. He ended up losing and making a tough day working up the back side of bracket. I was checking the brackets in the hallway between the two gyms and they were not updated with the other brackets in the other hall. I also noticed the wrestler added was not highlighted in Trackwrestling blue on the bracket which I assume he was a last second addition. I would rather him wrestle anyday than get a bye but I feel this could have went a little better. I don't want to complain about a great tournament with top notch wrestlers but this shouldn't happen.

Which one of you nameless posters would be willing to send a kid home who is at your tournament ready to wrestle? This won't happen next as I will demand that all participants sign up and pay on trackwrestling. The days of emailing your spreadsheet to this tournament director are over. This will eliminate the excuses and the terrible position I get put in when a kid is at the tournament but his name is not on a bracket. (That being said, I don't know your specific situation but there are errors made when wrestlers are entered. Age or weight class and we have to correct those errors. Sometimes they are not noticed until the brackets have been posted.)

There is always room for error. Parents even sign kids up in the wrong age when they do club signups at practice. Coaches or club directors could inadvertently sign up kids wrong. There still is the human side of entering the kids in the correct age and weight. The goal of each tournament director is to get kids matches. But some people do not sign up on time and then they come to the tournament and say this or that happened can we wrestle. It would be very helpful if everyone actually read the flier and followed the DEADLINE.

Saturday Tournament. - Great job!

BCS - 10 Meat for breakfast - it was lunchmeat but still qualifies
LCS - 10 Meat for lunch -

Rating for the Sunday's tournament to be reviewed in about 2 hours.

Valentine cupcakes were good and a nice reminder for the Dads - I even had a picture taken with the presentation of desserts. Many other goodies.

Quick note: I did have to fire up the grill when I got home and throw on a few Johnsonville Brats and hickory smoke them.

Will, you did the right thing. I would have done the same thing and it does put you in a very difficult position on Saturday morning. There is no way I could turn down a wrestler who is determined to compete that day. I'm not nameless and I'm not upset with you, I'm frustrated with people that do this week in and week out. You guys host one heck of a tournament and we had a great day up there. Thank you.

I dont exactly know what not signing a name to a post has to do with letting kids into a tourney that was supposedly closed. Maybe trying to shift the light unto someone else. And No, I wouldn't let these kids into the tourney. Rules and deadlines are put into place for reasons. Well, at least they should be. Excuses dont cut it. One of the kids has been wrestling for YEARS and I am sure the reason he was let in had nothing to do with a mistake being made.
