Is it possible to win 2 of the three periods but still lose the bout...
wrestler A wins 1-0, 0-3, 1-0. Wrestler B only wins one. Does wrestler B win because of more points?

Wrestler B still loses. Points only matter within a period. You must win 2 of 3 periods to win the bout. If you win the first 2 periods you don't wrestle a third period.
