I was looking at some results for the upper class kids and saw Jake Hattabaugh lost in the 1st round of Brute to a Georgia kid and then defaulted out of the tournament. Sterling Terry is in the same weight and made the finals and will have to take on that kid in the 163 finals. Looked up the name and apparently the kid is a DI signee to Northern Colorado.

189 almost had a huge upset, Undefeated Missouri State Champion almost lost to Kansas native Thomas Durham who didn't even place in state in 2011.

Brad Wagner of Hutch woh took 6th in 6a this year at 160 may have one of the bigger upsets of the day as he opened with a nice 8-5 victory over 171lb Missouri State runner up from Moberly! He then lost a close 3-2 match to a Florida State placer in the semis.

Jake was winning 3-1,Jake shot, secured the takedown, goes up 5-1 and was bleeding. Don't know for sure what he hit his head on, but his forehead was laid open about an inch long. They wrapped it, and soon thereafter, he got a painful headache, and was unable to continue. Must have had a minor concussion, as he was sick as well. Had to default out. Felt better a few hours later. The other kid was tough, but Jake was going to win that match, until the collision. Too bad for Jake. He ended up having a good time coaching............

Miles Johns beat Zack Dremel 2 to 1 I believe in the 3rd Round Johns ended up winning it all.
