C'mon Bronson. Give up the results for Team 2! I'll see what I can do! I had the records in my hand as we were handing out T-shirts and medals and put it in the box and ran off to take team pics. When I went back the box was gone. I figured they would post the records on the AAU wrestling page like last year, but when I checked they only had only posted team results this year.

I had intentions of keeping track of the whole team, but didn't do very well past the first couple of matches.
Deterding went 6-2

Teams were made due to your finish at the middle school tournament held in Lindsborg.....1st team 1....2nd team 2....ect....alternates were 5th or 6th placers that wanted to go....alternates got picked up by other teams who had an opening or got exhibition matches.

If your wrestler gets chosen as an alternate, take a shot and send them. My son got eight matches last year, two on team 4 and six in the alternate room, and came home with home with a gold medal from the alternate bracket. Mentally, I believe that it gave him a huge boost because he had never wrestled in a major event outside of Kansas. It was a great experience for him and he got to meet a lot of guys that he will probably know for years to come.

So all of the kids that went were supposed to have competed in Middle school state? Just want to verify this because I know of one wrestler that was an alternate who didn't go to Middle school state. This is to say the weight class they went to nationals in was not the weight class that they competed in at Middle School state if they competed at Middle school state at all.

Could very well be that the wrestler was in another weight class. When we got the call last year, it was Tuesday early evening and they were to leave and weigh in on Friday. Although my son was not terribly overweight, he had to knock off a few pounds in a short time. I can only imagine how much weight some of the other alternates had packed on by then.
